Local Activities
Dinner and a Movie Night is presented by the Lakeport Main Street Association in Library Park. May 30th beginning at 6;00 pm.The movie is ET - The Extra Terrestrial. Bring your lawn chairs or favorite blanket for comfort. Proceeds this year will go to July 4th Fireworks and towards art in Lakeport in the form of murals or sculptures.
Annual Clean up Day downtown Lakeport. Help clean up downtown. Bring your window washing equipment, work gloves, shovels, brooms, buckets, rags, dust pans, and garden tools. Meet downtown at 6:00 am rain or shine. Donuts and coffee provided by the Lakeport Main Street Association.
All summer long, Free Friday Night Concerts in the Library Park in Lakeport - starts at 6:00pm until 8:00pm (We can add the list of performers when available for 2009) Sponsored by BiCoastal Media in conjunction with local businesses.
First Friday Fling at the Lake County Arts Council on Main Street - The First Friday of every month spot lighting different local artists each month.
The Lampposts of Life project which started in 2001. Our beautiful lamppost's that are lining Main Street Lakeport are all donated and dedicated to individuals and businesses. This is a wonderful memorial for a loved one living or one that has passed on. The streets in Lakeport are getting brighter and brighter. Started with one and now have 47 with more on the way. These lights all have a drip system installed to accomodate hanging baskets of flowers. This has been a wonderful addition to Lakeport.
